Attractions and Places of Interest

Kristianstad and its surroundings is a perfect place to visit for anyone who has interest in nature, outdoors activities - especially on water – and in fishing or bird-watching. The unique wetland eco museum Vattenrike is of course most enjoyable during the summer, but this biosphere is full of life also during fall and winter. More than 25 white-tailed eagles spend winter here, and thousands of gees.

The streets of town itself, with a pleasant, quite centre full of restaurants and shops, once a year are full of people coming for Kristianstadsdagarna – a town festival. It is held in July, and means street parties, life music, shows and of course – good food.
